Torngats 2015 - Where Nature and Culture Connect 03

Torngat Mountains Base Camp


Nestled under the hills...  
... the Torngat Mountains Base Camp is the operations centre for entry to the Park.   

With accommodations for over 120 people, the Base Camp has a floating dock, helicopter landing area, solar generated electricity, cafeteria, laundry, showers, toilets and most of the other amenities of home. We had a wonderful welcome. Thanks to Muriel Edmunds for the photo.
