Cracking the Spine on a New Book
Waiting to Start
- and there's hours of enjoyment ahead
If I don't get at least one new book over the holidays, I'm just a bit disappointed. Getting a book as a gift is a fine thing, no matter if it's a title that I've been anticipating reading, or if it's someone else's choice that comes to me as a surprise. Just taking a day off and putting my feet up and sticking my nose in a book is a supreme pleasure.

I am not sure which is more delicious-looking, the new book (is it about a fisherman? just testing my mysterious powers of clairvoyance...and the greatness of google) OR THOSE CINNAMON ROLLS that are calling my name in this season of cravings for sugar and grease. ohoho
It's tempting to try and read the snippets of text in the photo, isn't it?
And Google "Carver sails away!" -it actually does return the identity of the book - "The Luminaries" by Eleanor Catton - "a fiendishly clever ghost story and a gripping page-turner"...
ooohhhh, I can hardly wait!
:)
Oh, and those cinnamon buns are waiting for you in the dairy aisle...
