A Field of Winter Trees
- with a light overnight accumulation of snow
There's a path that runs just behind this cluster of trees, and a slow-running creek just beyond the path.
The creek is frozen over, there is no wind, and no-one has ventured outside yet this morning on the path, so the overnight blanket of light snow lies undisturbed.

Mentioning the path just begs one to walk along it.... ;) What a lovely quiet scene for a morning stroll! Are there creatures skittering about?
Ah, yes, Winter Fauna.
There are Mr and Mrs. Squirrel and their progeny, plus chickadees, juncos and redpolls who all take seed at the birdfeeder. There are woodpeckers, too, and what we think are overwintering robins. And crows and ravens. We have seen some moose, but that's a rare sighting. The black bears are all asleep now. Funny, now that I think about it, I've never seen a rabbit or a groundhog around here. Generally along the path, you'll see bird or small animal tracks, but not much else.
A moose?! Mooses (?) are magical.
Maybe there is a fox keeping down the little critters? The tracks might be interesting shots, too?
