Fir With Birches
Fir Tree Growing Tall
- in the shadow of birch trees
I've been watching this fir tree for a while, wondering if it will take on the shape of a good Christmas tree.
It is growing tall and nicely spread out in the shadow and under the protection of a cluster of birches.
But the birches look like they don't want to let this particular fir tree go any time soon.

t almost looks like the fir is taller than the birches? Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. But either way, they do look like they "belong" together. hmmm
Hi Barbara:
In reality, the fir tree is about 10 feet tall, and the birches are probably taller than 60 feet tall.
The camera is at ground level looking up, and the visual effect is to make the fir more imposing than it really is. It's not your eyes, it's the camera angle.
